EyeChart - Vision Screening App Reviews

Absolutely horrible

This app works great for its intended purpose: as a fast and fun screening tool. It is not meant to pick up your voice as you say the letters or go to 20/15. If you got all the way to 20/15, great! It only goes to 20/20 because 20/20 is normal. It is supposed to tell if you cant get to 20/20, not 20/15.

Come on... This app is totally useless!

This is a misleading and ultimately useless application. Any "results" obtained are dubious, because they will depend heavily on lighting conditions (which alters how visible the iPhones screen is). While some might claim it still gives you an indication of vision, well, yes, but *anything* can do that. See if people can read the names of the apps on your iPhone. Or a menu. You dont need 20/20 vision to see that this app is worthless. Maybe the medical author should wait until he finishes med school and try again.

This is very in accurate I held it 4 feet away from me like it says but I can still get to the last row and all the way through and I know that I ness glasses because I cant even read a menu at a resterant from 15 ft away and this is telling me I got 20 20 vision

i was testing my mom and she couldnt read past the 4th line!

Its just stupid! 1 page of a stupid eye test! Who cares! Its really really dum and a waste of time

This thing is not accurate! I could see the bottom row letters with ease 6 ft. away! If you need your eyes checked, go to the eye doctor!!!!! Do not get this app and waste your time!

FYI... This program is supposed to be used by doctors at the patients bedside... It allows me to carry one less thing in my ever growing Dr. bag. It is not for people to check there eye sight at home.

This is a great little app when youre triaging, and cant get the formal eyechart posted somewhere else in your department. Both other nurses and residents borrow my "pod", multiple times each week just for this app. Thanks.

This is okay for what it is but is essentially a one-hit wonder iPhone novelty app. Dont expect hours of entertainment from this, but it can be handy for those times when someone suddenly says during a conversation, "What are you, blind!?" Then you can snidely retort, "Well, why dont we check?" You get the picture; the app provides at least a *general* idea of visual acuity. My device: iPhone 3G S.

Very useful, anyone writing a negative review is ignorant, this application is not intended for the lifeless individuals of the world, its for those who need it, keep in mind when downloading applications that they arent made just for you, if you dont need it dont download it, its free by the way, if your worried about wasting time go do something. thank you for the helpful application

Why are some people so upset that a free app that says its an eye chart turns out to be an eye chart? Be happy, enjoy eyesight!

there is really no point in it. if ur eyes need to be check go to the dang rue doctor all ur doing is wasting ur time!!!!!!!

Its fun but i cant read past the second line. I just turned 13 and in 8th grade and my prescription is -8.50 in the right and -8.25 in the left ( for ppl who dont no thts rly bad I have to put my hand like 2 inches to my face or like a pinky length to c my hand

I am an EMP in a busy ED. I use this app at least twice per week to check patients vision. Handy app when used for its intended purpose. This is NOT A NOVELTY APP to entertain and wow you and your friends and provide hours of fun.

Its very useful to have a test for presbyopia right in my pocket....and free to boot!

Its good I get good use out of it because Im contantly worried about my vision, this app gives me peace of mind .
